❤️“SAVING MADOC”❤️

SCRAPS & Madoc need your financial support.........

“You’re his last chance” were the stunning words behind the desperate call. Sweet Madoc’s future lay in our hands. Euthanasia appeared imminent for a scraggly but beautiful street Cat who had been hit by a Car resulting in a severely fractured leg needing urgent attention.

Madoc, desperately needed an advocate - someone to help him - someone to be his voice. He wanted to live & his life was now at stake. SCRAPS knew we needed to step in to help Madoc & that was the day he became a SCRAPS Cat.

Madoc urgently needed surgery for a painful fracture and this would be costly. Next would come the decision to simply amputate his leg vs preserve & repair. After consultation with the dedicated veterinarian team at Moose Jaw Animal Clinic along with a very positive surgical prognosis, SCRAPS made a decision in Madoc’s best interest. Madoc underwent surgery and his leg was ultimately saved.

Madoc is now on his journey to a brand new life. Safe in SCRAPS FOSTER care he is comfortably recovering from the surgical repair of his damaged leg along with enjoying the safety & security that comes with being an indoor Cat. An ongoing process continues in his recovery through which he will need additional care including x-rays and eventual removal of the pins and wires that are helping to mend his damaged leg.

Not only has this wonderful boy had his injury repaired, he has also been altered, vaccinated and received his SCRAPS tattoo ID. He has gained weight and his fur is now soft and shiney. He will before long be ready to become part of a loving family committed to keeping him safe.

Madoc appears to be healing well and will eventually, on vet recommendations be allowed to return to regular Cat activities (and antics)! This spectacular beauty will then enter the SCRAPS Catnip Catalogue as one of our many treasures ready for a home of his own.

Taking in a special needs Cat such as Madoc was unexpected but necessary as part of an act of compassion for us at SCRAPS. We are certain the investment into this little guys’ life will reap dividends in the enjoyment and love he will ultimately bring to his new forever family.

As a registered, non profit organization, SCRAPS TNR program receives no formal financial funding with all finances coming entirely through ongoing fundraising & the generosity of our community supporters & sponsors. Our SCRAPS team is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who donate their time in various capacities to improve the lives of community Cats. All Money raised is focused into the medical care of the many Cats with whom our paths cross. Excellence is our mission ........

We hope you will be moved by hearing Madoc!s story of Hope and second chances. Please consider offering financial support for this special Cats’ ongoing veterinarian care and being part of yet another happy ending that began with a single act of compassion❤️
