Local 4A Teams Victorious In Day One Of Basketball Regionals

It was a big day for the three local 4A senior boys/girls teams as they kicked regional basketball playdowns.
All three teams won meaning if they can win their Saturday game they will be off to HOOPLA the provincial high school basketball championships later this month in Saskatoon.
Here are highlights from the three games:
4A Senior Boys - Central Collegiate
Central Cyclones - 110

5A Regionals - Peacock Toilers senior boys
The Peacock Toilers senior boys team took on the Swift Current Colts in 5A regional playdowns in North Battleford.
The Toilers lost 90 - 75 to the Colts.
5A Regionals - Peacock Toilers senior girls
In Estevan the Peacock Toilers 5A senior girls won their Friday game.
The Toilers defeated Balgonie 69 - 43.
The Toilers next game was at 8 pm Friday against PA Carleton. No scores were available at publication time.
