Canucks U18 AA Use Bats And Running In Win
The Moose Jaw Canucks U18 AA easily walked away with a victory over the Eston Ramblers Friday evening at the Quinn Stevenson Memorial Baseball Tournament by a 15 - 1 score.
Eston scored their lone run in the first inning on a single and subsequent RBI.
Moose Jaw showed its control of the game by responding with three runs in their half of the first inning.
The Canucks biggest inning of the game was a the third inning where they scored seven runs on six hits.
Canucks starting pitcher Ryder Hicks gave up three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings. He struck out seven and walked one.
Russ Macdonald came in on relief for Moose Jaw where he pitched one and one-third innings.
Macdonald gave up zero hits while striking out two batters in relief.
Jesse Lesperance and Spencer Craig delivered two hits each for the Canucks.
Craig had two hits resulting in four runs batted in (RBIs).
The Canucks were hot when it came to base running managing to steal 12 bases.
There were zero errors by the Canucks in the game.
The Canucks next game in the tournament is an early 8 am start against the Saskatoon Royals. Moose Jaw will face the Regina Blue Jays at 4 pm on Saturday afternoon as the tournament continues.
