Tornadoes Win Lopsided Affair To Record First Victory

JOSH JOHNSON SCORES FOUR TOUCHDOWNS IN THE WIN

Saturday’s matchup between the Peacock Tornadoes versus the Estevan Elecs was a must win game for both teams.

Both the Tornadoes and the Elecs were sitting in the basement of the 5A 12-aside south rural league with 0 wins and 2 losses.

For the Tornadoes Saturday afternoon was a big day as they defeated the Elecs 29 - 0 in a lopsided affair.

The Tornadoes had only scored 15 points against opponents while Estevan had scored 0 points in its first two games.

Despite not having any victories so far this year for either team winning this game is a big step in making the playoffs in a six team league because the Swift Current Colts are also winless on the season.
