Moose Jaw Police Now Actively Enforcing State Of Emergency Rules

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has issued a friendly reminder that they are now enforcing the public health order issued as part of the Province declared State of Emergency because of the Covid - 19 pandemic.

MJPS would like to remind residents returning from any foreign country - including the United States - you are now legally required to self-isolate or quarantine yourself for 14 days upon your return.

People who do not follow the quarantine rule may be jailed and/or fined up to $2,000 for non-compliance.

At Monday evening’s meeting of Council it was revealed MJPS had not been immediately enforcing the rules as their role was unclear from the provincial government but it had been clarified.
