City To Host Open Houses On Cast Iron Water Main Replacement
If you have any questions about the upcoming Phase Five of cast iron water main replacement the City is holding two public information sessions to answer your questions.
Scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at Moose Jaw City Hall and on Thursday, March 26, 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (second floor) at Moose Jaw City Hall (228 Main Street North).
The two information sessions are geared to answer questions such as what exactly is happening, the options available to replace service connections at the same time as the cast iron water mains are replaced as well as options which may be available under the bylaw when it comes to no corrode sanitary sewer connections, Craig Hemmingway City of Moose Jaw communications manager said.
The sessions will also explain the communication plan for affected property owners.
Hemmingway said they would like to see a good turnout and bring your questions.
Although the meetings are geared for those directly affected by Phase Five in front of their businesses or residences the meeting is open to everyone who may have questions, he said.
The four locations chosen for 2020 are:
- Stadacona St. East from Sixth Avenue to 10th Avenue NE (790m)
- Fairford St. East from Main St. to Second Avenue NE (360m)
- High St. West from Main St. to Third Avenue NW (540m)
- Third Avenue NW from Oxford St. to Macdonald St. (670m)
All affected business owners and property owners are invited and encouraged to attend.
