Patterson Wins NDP Nomination

In a contested nomination Melissa Patterson defeated Crystal Froese to win the right to represent the Saskatchwan NDP in the Moose Jaw Wakamow constituency on Saturday afternooon.

Patterson will face off against the only other declared candidate incumbent Greg Lawrence of the SaskParty.

The other Parties have yet to name who will represent them in the expected October vote.

Editor’s Note - Due to illness and work commitments MJ Independent did not attend this meeting.

At the present time we are planning on focusing the majority of our fall political coverage on civic politics as the provincial and local elections overlap each other and we feel the local candidates deserve more coverage for our readership.
