Recall Issued For A Certain Variety Of Miss Vickie's Chips
A recall on Miss Vickie’s potato chips due to potential glass contamination has been extended to Alberts and two western Canadian centres including Moose Jaw.
The initial recall issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency stated there was one reported injury from eating the contaminated product.
Although the initial recall listed numerous varieties of the popular potato chip in western Canada the recall is for one variety of Miss Vickie’s chips - Original Recipe - as well as the 200 gram UPC 0 60410 04667 8. The codes are JA 12 with all manufacturing codes where "0" appears in the second position and "8" appears in the third position JA 26 608329131.
Miss Vickie's Canada is recalling certain Miss Vickie's brand Original Recipe Kettle Cooked Potato Chips from the marketplace due to possible presence of pieces of glass. Consumers should not consume and retailers, restaurants, and institutions should not sell or use the recalled product.
