Convoy For Oilfield Jobs Rolls Through Moose Jaw

Moose Jaw showed it’s support for the oilfield families and workers convoy to Ottawa on Thursday evening.

The United We Roll convoy broke from the original planned convoy by Yellow Vests Canada in an effort to focus attention on building pipelines to help the struggling oil and gas sectors get their products to higher paying markets.

The issues the convoy is heading to Ottawa for are the need to build pipelines, Bill C-69 and changes to oil and gas legislation and the Carbon Tax. The convoy is not traveling to Ottawa to oppose the UN compact on migration signed by the Federal Government.

Although Yellow Vest supporters are welcome they are not running the convoy.

The Moose Jaw rally of support are up of Yellow Vest Moose Jaw members but others who just wanted to show their support. 

“Unbelievable turnout for the Truck convoy. I guessed there would be maybe six vehicles that would show up. We had 34  vehicles that came to support. We even had a couple with a baby that showed up, that's over 60 people from Moose Jaw that came out to support the convoy and the cause,” Al Church, a local organizer with Yellow Vests Moose Jaw said. 

The convoy left Red Deer on Valentine's Day and is expected to roll into Parliament Hill on February 19th.
