Meet Your Candidates - Sam Morrison

My name is Sam Morrison and I have lived in Moose Jaw since the spring of 1983.

I have worked as a mechanic and been involved in automotive repair for over 40 years.

I owned and ran a successful auto repair shop for over 13 years and sold it 3 years ago. 

That was when I made my first attempt at serving Moose jaw and ran for mayor.  I didn't win but did learn a lot.

I decided to start again running for city council. 

I have a long history of community service.  I have been a member of the Moose Jaw Elks club for 20 years and served as Exalted Ruler for 10 years. 

I served on the Moose Jaw and district Chamber of Commerce for a full 6 year term and am nearing the end of a 9 year term with Community Futures South Central. 

I chose to run in this election after much prodding and look forward to the challenge of making this great city even better than it already is.

I also look forward to working with a forward thinking council and mayor's office with an emphasis on cooperation despite differences of opinion and keeping our residents well being in focus.
