Mystery School Zone

A long ago closed alternative school has left behind a reminder with the school zone signs still erected on the 400 block of Athabasca Street East.

The signs drew a question about the school zone area now that there is no longer a school there.

“Someone contacted me about a school zone that is still in place on Athabasca Street East. There use to be the John Chisolm School and it is now the Wandering Market and Fellingers in there…it’s not my area of town but there is school zone signs there,” Councillor Heather Eby said asking about the status of the school zone.

Administration said they would get back with an answer about the signs and the status of the school zone.
