Council To Get Real Money For Virtual Meetings Representing The City

Council may have given up their travel allowance and used it to fund the regular Saturday transit but when it comes to their per diem for meetings it is something they will still receive.

Following the in-camera portion of their April 26th Executive Committee meeting the six members attending voted to approve the motion that Council Members who attend Municipalities of Saskatchewan (MoS) and Federation of Canadian Municipalities and similar events, virtually, on behalf of the City of Moose Jaw be eligible to claim the daily per diem.

Other than the vote the spending issue was not discussed in public.

Mayor Fraser Tolmie was not in attendance at the meeting as he was away attending to a serious family matter.
