Team’s Skills Not Leprechaun In His Garden Behind Predictions

MAYOR CLIVE TOLLEY PREDICTS WARRIORS IN 6 GAMES VERSUS THE BLADES

Mayor Clive Tolley said he didn’t use luck but rather his sound knowledge of the Moose Jaw Warriors and what the team can do.

“The Warriors over Swift Current in fives games so we could win it at home and after that first game where we got our butts kicked I was questioning my ability to judge hockey,” Mayor Tolley said.

The Mayor pointed to the quality of the Warriors in defeating Swift Current in the second round.

“We’ve got the strongest team we’ve ever had the came back really, really strongly and won convincingly,” he said.

“The matchup with Saskatoon for the East Division Championship we’ve only had one East Division championship for the years the Warriors have been here and I’m predicting Moose Jaw in six (games), his worship said.

Asked by MJ Independent how he picked the correct number of games and if his real name wasn’t in fact McTolley and he had a leprechaun in his garden giving him the final outcome, the Mayor laughed.

He said it actually comes with experience.

“I’ve been around hockey for an awful long time and I’ve never seen a junior team play in Moose Jaw under the name of Canucks or Warriors that have the power or scoring ability of our current team,” his Worship said.

The Warriors are firing on all cylinders at the present time.

“The younger players have followed along and led by the 20 year olds the imports are just playing so well. So we don’t have much of a drop off. We’ve got tremendous depth on our third or fourth line comes out they’re playing very well so I think we have all the ingredients have a championship team,” he said,

Asked if he would be betting anything against Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark he said he didn’t know or not.

Speaking to Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal he declined to make a bet because every time he bet he is “a bad omen” and my team loses.

Mayor Tolley said he himself was considering not betting she was not put the pressure on the team, but he may in fact contact Saskatoon’s Mayor about a friendly bet.

“I excited for the series to get this thing started. Both teams will be well rested because they’ve got this week off.”

Mayor Tolley said he is looking forward to a sold out Moose Jaw Events Centre.

Asked about the sold out Events Centre Mayor Tolley said “it’s fabulous. It’s been a long time coming here. When we built this building, we were hoping they would come…it’s just tremendous. The energy in the building. The noise in the building. The 50-50 for the booster club. It’s all really good.”
