U15 B Mafia Comes Home with Big Win From Medicine Hat

This past weekend one of our local home team, U15 B Mad Greek Mafia came home with an impressive set of wins.

Their first three games were all shutout wins led by goalie, Max Folliott and a strong defense, over Bow River, McKnight, and the Medicine Hat Avalanche.

In their impressive final game they played the Yoga Nation Yetis, a team from Red Deer. In the first two periods Mafia was down 1-0 making a strong comeback in the third.

Braden Formaggio was able to tie the game up twice, with a third goal scored from Bentley Hutcherson putting Mafia in the lead.

With less than two minutes left, the Yetis pulled their goalie, letting team captain Dayton Vickaryous score an empty net goal to seal the win.

The Mafia was able to defeat the Yetis with a final score of 4-2.

The boys were able to put together an undefeated weekend powered by teamwork and resilience!
