Cyclones Blow Cold Breeze On Vikings
It was a tough night for the Vanier Vikings junior boys team as they were easily defeated by the visiting Central Cyclones Red 83 - 31 in Moose Jaw city league basketball action.
The game saw the Cyclones quickly run up a 23 - 0 advantage before subbing out their starters at about the six minute and half minute mark of the first quarter.
Missing at least one key player due to a suspension the Vikings struggled against the high flying Cyclones Red team.
The Vikings would finally score their first basket with just over three minutes left in the first quarter.
The third quarter would see the Vikings have a defensive lapse and need to regroup as the Cyclones had a pair of easy layups without opposition.
Both teams had the opportunity to play their entire benches.
