Lions Give Steelers A Run For All The Marbles - Photo Feature Game

The matchup between the U12 Moose Jaw Lions and the visiting Swift Current Steelers could be summed up to a single winning strategy - get to the outside and hopefully outrun your opponent.
Oh yeah there was also some passing in there.
It was also a game where the Lions offence once again relied heavily on one speedster player - Bekkem Usher to outrun the opposition.
It was a formula which saw Usher score six touchdowns - three in the first quarter - as the Lions defeated the visiting Swift Current Steelers 57 - 6 in Kinsmen Moose Jaw Minor Football League action on Saturday afternoon.
But the game wasn’t an Usher rushathon but rather it was a Lions team effort combined that lead to the convincing win.
Defensively the Lions were hot against the Steelers - but not hot enough to stop their opponents’ offence which at times showed impressive results.
The First Quarter score was Lions 24 and Steelers 0.
The score at Halftime was Lions 37 and Steelers 0.
The Third Quarter Score was Linos 43 and Steelers 6.
The Final Score was 57 - 6.
The Lions move to 3 - 1 and the Steelers move to 2 - 2.
