Four Local Teams On The Road To Hoopla
On Friday and Saturday senior boys and senior girls basketball teams were active in their quest to make it to the provincial championships - Hoopla - this coming Friday March 25th and Saturday March 26th in Prince Albert.

Central Cyclones

Central Collegiate qualified for Hoopla by winning the regional playdowns in Melfort.
In their second game there was a bit of an upset as sixth seeded Central defeated the third seeded Melfort.

Vanier Spirits

Vanier Collegiate qualified for Hoopla by winning the regional playdowns they hosted in Moose Jaw.
The second seeded Spirits had what could be considered two easy games on the scoresheet to qualify.

The Toilers season ended as they placed fourth in the 5A Regional playdowns in Lloydminster.

Last year's 4A provincial 4A senior boys champions, the Central Cyclones, received a bye to Saturday’s regional final.

The Vikings had early success but failed to qualify for Hoopla this coming weekend in Prince Albert.

With assistant coach Raman Mall receiving his Friday birthday wish the fourth seeded Toilers advanced with a hard fought victory over the Yorkton Regional Raiders.
The hard first game victory allowed the Toilers to stay out of the consolation final ditch on the road to Hoopla.
The Toilers would place third at the Moose Jaw regional and advance to Hoopla.
