It may not have been the prettiest way to win a basketball game but it’s one that had the coach's approval as the Peacock Toilers downed the Yorkton Regional Raiders 85 - 80 in high school senior boys regional basketball playoffs.
Playing in front of a large hometown crowd the Toilers amassed a large lead only to see it evaporate in the fourth quarter as Yorkton staged a comeback rally.
At one point in the Fourth Quarter Yorkton was ahead of Moose Jaw temporarily.
But aggressive play put Yorkton into foul problems.

With five fouls accumulated late in the in the final quarter Yorkton was in trouble.
Every Yorkton foul meant Peacock was headed to the free throw line.
With the game tied the Toilers would score five points on free throws as Yorkton fouled away a victory.
Late in the game Yorkton would attempt to score but the Toilers Josh Johnson would contain the rebound extinguishing Yorkton's hopes for victory.

Asked of he had brought his heart medication with him - due the back and forth score in the latter half of the fourth quarter - Peacock Toilers head coach Troy Setter chuckled while responding “I probably should of.”
Setter was asked given the Toilers are fourth seeds and the Raiders seeded fifth if the game was what he had expected.
"It’s exactly what I expected. I know Jason (Payne Yorkton Regional Raiders head coah) their coach for a long time and his teams never quit. It doesn’t matter what the score is there going to battle hard. It is always going to be a tight game with them no matter what,” he said.

Asked about Yorkton standout Tyson Korol who put on a one man show Setter said “his motor never quit.”
Asked how you contain a player like Korol he said “If you look at how many points he scored it doesn’t look like we contained him at all.”
Korol scored 32 points - the highest individual scorer for either team.

Setter said the Toilers are happy with the result.
“We’re definitely happy we got the win it was a hard fought game. Hey we got a win now we need to try to get ready for the next one.”
