Flyers Advance To Division Final

After a hard fought semi-final against the Gull Lake based Southwest Cyclones the Milestone U18 A Female Flyers have earned a berth into the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League's (SFHL) South U18 A Division final against the Balcarres Barracudas.
The Flyers, who came in second during the regular season with 33 points (15 - 2 - 3), face the regular season South Division top team Barracudas.
The Barracudas ended the regular season with 35 points on a 16 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties record.

Milestone's regular season record against Balcarres is a November 16th 2 - 0 shutout in Balcarres and a 1 - 1 tie in Milestone at their 2022 - 2023 home opener.
Game One of the best of three series starts tonight at Balcarres with a 7 pm opening face-off at the Balcarres Arena.
Game Two is Friday night at 7:30 pm (note not the regular 8 pm start) at the Milestone Memorial Rink.
Come early for this game as it’s expected to be a full house.
Game Three, if necessary, goes Sunday March 19th at the Balcarres Arena.
With Moose Jaw not offering an U18 A program the Milestone U18 A Female Flyers have become the de facto destination for the majority of girls wanting to contine their hockey careers after U15 A.

Gull Lake stayed alive in the series by scoring at 16:02 of the Second Overtime Period.

Milestone jumped out into a 3 - 0 lead early in the second period.
Gull Lake tied the game.
Milestone won on a powerplay goal at 4:53 of overtime.
