High School Seniors Basketball Championship Games This Evening

It has been a long road for Moose Jaw city high school basketball.

With the high school city league junior girls, junior boys and Junior Varsity championships now wrapped up all that is left are the senior basketball crowns to be awarded.

And that will be happening tonight as both the senior girls and senior boys high school senior basketball champions are decided.

Peacock Toilers VS Vanier Spirits

Tipping off with the senior girls championship at 6:20 pm between season long rivals the Peacock Toilers and Vanier Spirits.

From their regular season and tournament matchups over the 2022 - 2023 season this game could be a highly entertaining nail biter.

Both teams at the present time are said to be healthy and up to full potential.

Don’t be surprised to see this battle ending up going into extra periods.

Senior Boys Championship Showdown

Peacock Toilers VS Central Cyclones

Tip off time 8 pm

The three team senior boys league has seen its numbers reduced as smaller schools have opted for JV boys play this season.

Despite the Lumsden Devils opting into JV this season, albeit on a exhibition basis, the three remaining teams Vanier, Peacock and Central have put on a great show.

Although it may appear the Cyclones are a juggernaut and local basketball dynasty don’t count the Toilers out.

This is a matchup Peacock not only would like to win but it’s also one they’ve been practicing hard to win.

The best executed game plan and coaching calls from the bench could well decide the city champion.

The only precise prediction that can be made is it won't be boring.
