Spirits Corner Rockets - photo feature game

The winless Assiniboia Rockets senior girls basketball team was at Vanier Collegiate on Thursday evening to take on the Spirits but any hopes for Rockets of blasting off with a win were quickly dashed by an aggressive Vanier team.

The Rockets quickly found themselves figuratively on the score clock and literally on the court back into a corner by a Spirits team running like a well oiled machine.

The Sprits would defeat the Rockets 71 - 18.

Quarter Scores

The First Quarter ended with the Spirits leading the Rockets 21 - 10.

The Half-Time score was Spirits 42 and Rockets 12.

The Third Quarter score was Spirits 65 and Rockets 16.

The Final Score was Spirits 71 and Rockets 18.

With the win the Vanier Spirits move to a regular season 5 - 2 record tied with the 5 - 1 Peacock Toilers with the Toilers with one game in hand.

Peacock's final regular season game is March 1st when they play the fourth place Central Cyclones to wrap up those teams regular seasons.
