Mavericks U15A Squad Capture Local Tournament Crown

It was a successful weekend for the Moose Jaw Carpet One U15A Mavericks as they captured the U15A crown at the annual Moose Jaw Mavericks Female Classic Hockey Tournament.

The Mavercks defeated the Sakatoon Comet Inferno 4 - 2 in the tournament's U15A championship final.

The U15A Mavericks finished up preliminary pool A play with a 2-0-1 record.

The U15A Comet Inferno had a 2-1 preliminary pool A record.

Saskatoon had the same 2-1 record as the Regina Rebels Black but earned their birth into the tournament championship by defeating Rebels Black 5 - 1.

The tournament ran Friday - Sunday and featured 30 teams in the U9 (two divisions), U11, U13 and U15 age divisions.
