Hunter Jumper Series Three Day Finale Starts Tomorrow
For people who like equine sports - especially jumping - this is a big weekend for you as the Moose Jaw Spring Hunter/Jumper School Show Series (MJHJSSS) will hold it final event of the year.
From Friday - Sunday inclusive 51 riders from across Saskatchewan and Manitoba will compete in the event with riders and horses earning points towards being named the top rider of the year.
In its inaugural full season the MJHJSSS is a series of three shows held through the year.
At each show participants earn points with the top point recipients at the end of the events this weekend winning awards.
In order to qualify for the awards riders must have competed in two shows throughout the year.
Due to the predicted wet weather the show will be held indoors at the Golden Mile Arena located on the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds - 250 Thatcher Drive East.
There will be a concession on the grounds for those who would like non-alcoholic refreshments and something to eat.
The event is FREE to attend but as a reminder the Golden Mile Arena is heated to about 50 F for the comfort of the horses competing so bring along a light jacket or sweater if you are going up to check out the competition.
The event runs:
Friday October 21 9 am until late afternoon
Saturday October 22 9 am until late afternoon
Sunday October 23 9 am until done
