Moose Jaw Warrior net minder, Connor Ungar was named the WHL’s Goalie of the Week after posting a spectacular 0.80 Goals Against Average and a .979 Save Percentage in three games.
Ungar made 40 saves and was named First Star of the Game in the Warriors 3-1 victory over the Saskatoon Blades on October 5th.
He mirrored that success a few nights later, when the Warriors defeated Winnipeg at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on October 8th. In that game he made 26 saves in the 4-1 win.
Then back on September 30th he was pivotal in holding back the Prince Albert Raiders as they hunted a tying goal late in the game. The Warriors won that match 4-3.
Connor Ungar has been sharing starting duties with Jackson Unger, who has also been pretty dependable to start the season.
The Warriors next game is on home ice against the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, October 14th.
