Hundreds Of Grapplers Set To Compete

It is going to be a big weekend for local grapplers as two major wrestling tournaments take place - events which will bring in hundreds of wrestlers from across the province and beyond.

On Saturday from 9 am until completion the A E Peacock Collegiate gym (145 Ros Street East) will feature the high school tournament with some of the best up and coming grapplers in the province set to compete.

On Sunday from 9 am until completion the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Wrestling Club will host their annual club meet at the A E Peacock Collegiate gym which will feature hundreds of wrestlers in the South Saskatchewan Wrestling championships.

There will be 350 wrestlers competing on Saturday and 390 wrestlers competing on Sunday.

This year’s event is set to be bigger as new additional matts - purchased with the assistance of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club.
