Kohl Scores Her First Two Goals With Prince Albert

Sunday was a big day not once but twice for a Moose Jaw based hockey player.

Jasmine Kohl, who plays for the Prince Albert Northern Bears U18 AAA, recorded her first two goals on Sunday versus the Battlefords Sharks in Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League (SFU18AAAHL) action.

Kohl scored at 9:12 of the second period and she scored again at the 1:47 mark of the second period. The goals gave the former Mavericks product her first two points at the AAA level.

“I was actually quite surprise when it came to me,” Kohl said about her first goal in a telephone interview with MJ Independent. “The first goal came as a shock and the second goal made me feel not so nervous.”

“It felt like I had contributed to the team effort and the second one really boosted my confidence that I had contributed a lot to the team effort,” she said.

Kohl said she saved the puck from her first goal and a teammate had already the information on the puck.

“I will probably make a frame for it and out it on the wall at home.”

Kohl said she is doing fine being billeted in Prince Albert as it was a bit of an adjustment at first but now things are going along well.
