Warriors Thrash Cougars

Chad Pimlott

The Warriors needed to do something to pull themselves out of a slump, and that's exactly what they did. They suffered a frustrating loss on Friday night against the lowly Red Deer Rebels, in which they just couldn't put the puck in the opponents net. On Saturday they made up for that with a 4-1 thrashing of the Prince George Cougars.

The Warriors put 48 shots on the Cougar keeper, Taylor Gauthier

Justin Almeida led the way with a goal, his 30th, and two assists, Brayden Burke, Brandon Schuldhaus and Tate Popple also scored goals.

Josh Maser scored the lone Prince George tally.

Moose Jaw is at home again on Friday, the 9th against the Lethbridge Hurricanes
