Scott Moe Needs To Go - Reader Writes
Dear Editor
Another election is upon us and it’s time to highlight the ruling parties’ deficits, beyond the ballooning debt and their total disregard for the environment.
There are too many deficits to expand upon in one editorial, but to start.
Mr. Moe has been a disaster for public Education as evidenced in the resent teachers strike where the teachers mainly wanted to be able to control the classrooms in a dignified, safe environment, where basic education could be presented in an efficient and compatible manner.
Mr. Moe painted the strike as little more than a money grab, and couldn’t care less about a strike.
In his ambition to privatize everything he has funneling public education money into private schools.
Consequently, cutting the budgets of public education.
He has worked to make public education unaffordable, inefficient, basically dumbing down the society and destroying faith in the traditional public system.
He has practiced a similar approach to our public Health care system.
His eloquent, verbal, presentations of growth and progress has a distinct, corporate bias.
It is very narrowly focused on the growth of industry in the province with lavish public financing fueling and expanding that growth.
Meanwhile ignoring or demonizing the destitution his narrow mindedness has created.
Destitution not just in health care, and education or food, and housing for the vulnerable, but for those wanting to buy a home or the family farm as well.
Growing numbers are losing faith in not just this government but democracy because of his divisive and confrontational attitude.
Mr. Moe has desecrated that sacred public trust of stewardship by selling off the public lands to the, not necessarily, highest bidder.
He is shoving nuclear down our throats when his predecessor Mr. Wall at least had public hearings about it.
And he is consistently picking fights with the federal government which sometimes wants to help.
His enemy is social structure and moral values which he has aggressively undermined and attacked.
He doesn’t care about the welfare of the population so its understandable that crime, urban and rural, is on the upswing.
Plus, as in pretty well all governments who have been there too long. Corruption has creeped in and as it comes to the surface is being excused in that inner circle.
The man has served his purpose in displaying corporate contempt for public safety, health and a prosperous public future.
He is a silver-tongued walking disaster and should be put out to pasture before he can do any more damage to public security and growth.
