An Open Letter to the NDP

I have supported the NDP for over 40 years, for the most part it has been a good fit for me, but lately, federally and provincially, I cannot support this party.

Once the party of the working man, they are now out of touch. On the carbon tax, MP’s being removed from caucus for reasons beyond belief, and the fact that the party no longer stands for the working man, in my mind, means I should choose another party.

How can the NDP get me back?

Well, first there is honest listening and caring about the common man. About one year ago I messaged several offices of the Sask NDP and told them about how the health system has failed me. I am dying because of neglect. I received a letter that basically said “good luck”. So the change in the NDP would be profound. The Sask Party care about people, as do all of the MLA’s, so for now they have my vote. I have been to NDP events where I'm the youngest person in the crowd, and I'm 58, so the NDP will be at least another ten years before they are ready to govern.
