Fourth Avenue Bridge To Remain Closed For Another Week
The City of Moose Jaw has announced the Fourth Avenue Bridge will be closed for another week due to on-going repairs.
The bridge was initially slated to re-open today but due to 10 tonne weight restrictions on the bridge more labour intensive work - than regular repairs - is being used.

The bridge was closed starting on July 12 for repairs as City Public Works crews perform maintenance to the road surface of the bridge.
Crews are milling out four strips on the surface totaling approximately 1.6 kilometres.
The bridge’s weight restrictions mean that alternative measures such as smaller equipment - which is more labour intensive- is being used on the repairs.

Drivers are being asked to use Main Street South (subway) and the 9th Avenue NW while the Fourth Avenue Bridge is closed to vehicle traffic.
Foot and bicycle traffic is still allowed on the bridge - sidewalks - during repairs.
The City also requests motorists obey the temporary signage.
