Get A Life Campaign Receives Provincial Recognition
Telling people to “Get A. Life” and move to Moose Jaw has received provincial recognition.
The tongue in cheek campaign won an award at the recent Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance (SEDA) provincial summit.
At the Summit, held June 11-13 in Saskatoon, the City of Moose Jaw’s campaign to promote all the benefits someone would “get” by living and doing business here (comparatively low cost of housing, short commutes, family-friendly community and many more) won the SEDA Marketing Award for a population over 5,000 people.
The award was sponsored by Tourism Saskatchewan.

The Get A Life campaign played upon what is usually viewed as derogatory term as a positive for locating a business or moving to Moose Jaw.
The campaign included video testimonials from Moose Jaw residents and promotional Get A Life cereal boxes containing all of Moose Jaw’s “Notoriously Nutritious” ingredients that add up to a superior quality of life when compared to other cities, the release stated.
