Police search for suspect as $400,000 in fentanyl seized

The Moose Jaw Police Sevice has 28-year-old Joshua Bradley Adams in custody and continues to search for 29-year-old Ryan Gill Perreault who remains at large following a Sept. 13 home invasion, leaving a man in hospital.

At approximately 800 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, officers responded to a call about a suspicious occurence at a residence on the 1200 block of Irving Avenue.

Once on scene, officers found an injured 28-year-old male within the residence.

Following a futher investigation, officers learned that Adams and Perreault broke into the residence of the victim and were armed with a shotgun and a knife.

The victim suffered a serious non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head and was stabbed multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life- threatening injuries.

At the time of this offence, Adams was on a lifetime order of prohibition not to possess fireams. Both Adams and Perreault then fled the scene, prior to police arrival.

Adams was arrested without incident and has been remanded into Police custody, while the Moose Jaw Police Sevice has issued an Arrest Warant for Perreault.

The public should be aware that Perreault could be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. He is descibed as 5'9" tall, with brown eyes and black hair.

As a result, Adams has been charged with one count of Breaking and Entering, one count of Attempted Murder, one count of Possessing a firearm while prohibited, and one count of Possessing a fiream without a valid license or registration.

Perreault is facing one count of Breaking and Enteing and one count of Attempted Murder.

In addition, while investigating the residence, officers discovered and seized 1 kilogram of Fentanyl with a street value of approximately $400,000, along with $6,700 in Canadian currency.

The investigation is still ongoing and the Moose Jaw Police Sevice will provide an update once additional infomation becomes available.

Adams will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Cout on Friday moning.
