Environment Canada Issues Thunderstorm Watch For Moose Jaw And Area
The hot and humid conditions has Environment Canada issuing a Thunderstorm Warning for Moose Jaw and surrounding area.
At 3:01 PM the federal government forecaster issued the warning that conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms in parts of southern Saskatchewan this afternoon and this evening.
The main threats from these thunderstorms will be: - hail to the size of golf balls - wind gusts to 110 km/h.
Thunderstorms will weaken late this evening.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
