Moose Jaw To Be The Focus Of A Two Day Blitz
If you want to avoid a ticket you had better be on your best behaviour over the next couple of days.
For July 12th and 13th the Moose Jaw pPolice Service (MJPS) along with enforcement agencies from across the province, will conduct a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) crack down in and around Moose Jaw.
According to the release “Police from around Saskatchewan will be working alongside partner agencies to identify traffic violations and take enforcement action.”
Enforcement activities will focus on offences related to impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, seatbelt use, unlicensed drivers and commercial vehicle standards, the release stated.
STEP is a multi-agency task force dedicated to improving traffic safety across Saskatchewan. Members include municipal police agencies, the RCMP, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Police, and representatives from SGI and the Ministries of Justice and Finance.
