Police Surround Home - Weapons Drawn

Just prior to 6 pm on Friday evening the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) surrounded a home on the 900 block of Athabasca Street West.

As part of the operation the MJPS cordoned off the east and west entry to the 900 block of Athabasca Street West were initially cordoned off.

Neighbours report later the MJPS extended the cordoned off area.

The MJPS has not released details about the operation.

At 6 pm officers could be seen taking cover behind vehicles as well as at least one officer had a firearm (carbine) drawn and was wearing a tactical helmet.
