MJPS Seek Pair In High Profile Case

The Moose Jaw Police Service is seeking a pair of individuals for their alleged involvement in an Extortion, Forcible Confinement and Robbery that allegedly occurred on November 28th.

The alleged incident had six individuals allegedly pull an individual out of their vehicle, taken to a nearby residence where they were threatened.

The MJPS through a release stated the seven individuals knew one another and the incident was not random in nature

At the time three individuals remained at large and were wanted by the MJPS on warrants.

One individual turned himself in leaving two suspects still at large.

Joseph MacDougall, 41, and Morgan Maier, 21, who were both involved in the incident, remain at large and are wanted by the MJPS in relation to the incident.

Owen Kretsch, 43, who was wanted has tuned himself in to the Police and first appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday, December 4, 2023.

As a result, Kretsch has been charged with one count each of Extortion, Forcible Confinement, and Robbery. He has been remanded and will make his second court appearance at a later date.

Late last week, an executed search warrant by the MJPS’s Criminal Investigation Section and Community Policing Division resulted in Jeffery Stuart, 37, Jeremy Fisher, 44, and Marnie Hayter, 47, being taken into custody and charged with one count each of Robbery, Forcible Confinement, and Extortion.

The incident remains under investigation and more infomation will be provided once it becomes available.
