Search Warrant Turns Up Meth And Paraphernalia

On December 12, 2023, at approximately 3:44 p.m., members of the Moose Jaw Police Service's Criminal Investigation Section (CIS), Community Policing Division, and the Moose Jaw RCMP Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant on a residence within a local trailer court.

The search resulted in the seizure of Methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and numerous replica firearms.

As a result of the investigation, the Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested and charged Jason Carey, 42, and Teanika Trew-Gawley, 28, with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Carey is also facing one count each of Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace, Possession of Firearms Contrary to a Prohibition Order, and Possession of Prohibited Weapons (Bear Spray).

Both Carey and Trew-Gawley have been remanded and will make their first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday morning (December 14, 2023) at 9:30 a.m.
