SaskPower Offering Phone In Opportunity To Learn About Small Modular Reactor Plans

Do you have questions about nuclear power?

Do you have any concerns you would like to hear a response to?

Or do you simply want to get an update about the Province’s plans to develop a small modular (nuclear) reactor SMR?

Then this evening between 7 - 8 pm is your opportunity to find out as SaskPower is holding a live and interactive call in event.

It is the first time SaskPower will use this type of live call-in event - but other electrical utilities have used them.

“It’s a great way to reach people that aren’t on-line, don’t have computers or smart phones, etc.,” SaskPower said in a release.

SaskPower has provided two ways to join the discussion (and of course, an ‘opt-out’ if people don’t want to participate). All Saskatchewan residents can join online at https://access.live/SaskPower or by calling 877-229-8493 and using the code: 122445.

About 30,000 residents (both in and around the two study areas of Elbow and Estevan, and throughout the rest of the province) received an automated phone call yesterday afternoon informing them of the event.

These residents will also receive a call between 6:50 – 7 p.m. tomorrow evening to join the conversation.
