Another Violent Incident Downtown

The Moose Jaw Police Service has taken a 18-year-old male into custody following an incident in the city’s downtown core.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, Police responded to a fireams-related incident at a business in the downtown area that left one victim being transpoted to hospital with non-life threatening injuies.
Police later learned that an altercation began between the accused and the victim in a public location pior to enteing into a downtown business.
The victim and the accused were known to one another and the attack is not random in nature.
There is no further danger to the public.
The male will make his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
