Police Thwart Break In At Events Centre
It seems that someone perhaps couldn’t wait to get the best seats in the house or at least a momento as the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) thwarted the getaway after a break and enter at the Moose Jaw Events Centre early Sunday morning.
With the help of the K9 Unit the MJPS arrested a 33 year old man who had allegedly broken into the Moose Jaw Events Centre and made of with property about 3 am Sunday morning.
The accused was arrested with no injuries and the stolen property recovered.
No other details have been released about the incident.
The accused is set to appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday morning.
Moose Jaw has recently seen a rash of commercial break and enters with the MJPS stating most of the crimes were committed by the same person or group of people.
It is unknown at press time if the alleged break and enter attempt at the Events Centre is related to that incident.
In the past the then Mosaic Place was targeted with Alberta based thieves making off with a number ATMs.
They were apprehended on a tip by a passing motorist who noticed something strange at an abandoned farmyard just outside the city limits.
