Mayor Declares National Indigenous People's Day In Moose Jaw

With today being National Indigenous People’s Day Mayor Clive Tolley has signed a proclamation on behalf of the City of Moose Jaw declaring the day in the city.

National Indigenous People’s Day takes place on the summer solstice - the longest day of the year - and also officially the first day of summer.

The day is set aside for Canadians to recognize and celebrate the diverse cultures of Canada’s first peoples - First Nations, Inuit and Metis people.
