Water Main Replacement Update - Week One

The City of Moose Jaw has issued a progress report after week one of Phase VII or the 2022 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement Program.

According to this week’s update the following has taken place or about to begin:

Saskatchewan St E – Main St. to 1st Ave NE (Started April 25th, 2022*)

Underground pipe replacement is underway. Main St N and South Leg of 1st Ave NE intersection remains open.

It needs to be noted looking at the work it appears the pipe has already been installed and the trench dug to replace the pipe is being packed to allow future street repaving. (see photo form Saturday afternoon below.)

Saskatchewan St E – 1st Ave NE to 2nd Ave NE (Starting May 10th, 2022)

2nd Ave NE intersection will remain open. 1st Ave NE intersection will be completely closed beginning May 10th, 2022.

Grandview St W – 6th Ave SW to 8th Ave SW (Started April 25th, 2022)

Underground pipe replacement is underway. 6th Ave NW intersection remains open. 8th Ave NW intersection will be closed beginning May 11th, 2022
