School Bus Drops Into Soft Spot Requiring A Tow Truck

Story and Photos By Robert Thomas

There was a bit of surprise for a Holy Trinity Catholic School Division bus about 3:30 pm this afternoon - March 16th - as a bus headed east on the 400 block of Stadacona Street West drove over a soft spot on the road and sunk up to its rear axle.

No students on the bus were physically injured but Holy Trinity officials attended and spoke to the children who were on the bus about any kind of fear which they may have developed.

The Moose Jaw City Police Service attended the incident and blocked traffic on the Stadacona Street West as well as on 5th Avenue NW adjacent to the incident.

A tow truck was dispatched and it was able to winch the bus out.

The tow truck driver remarked afterwards “that was a lot easier than I thought.”
