Saddleback Case Adjourned To New Year
A man accused of attempted murder, weapons and drug charges after allegedly shooting at the police and then being subject to a short manhunt on October 21st has had his case set over until the New Year.
Thirty-two year old Jirard Saddleback from Calgary - who at the time of his arrest in Moose Jaw was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large in Calgary - had his case before Judge Darryl Rayner in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday morning.

Represented by counsel Saddleback waived his right to seek bail and will remain in remand.
Saddleback will remain in custody over Christmas until his next court appearance on January 10, 2023 when it is expected the accused will make his election and plea to the charges.
He is charged with:
Attempted Murder
Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a prohibited firearm
Possession of the proceeds of crime
Several other firearm and weapon related crimes
Saddleback is to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
