People Head Out To Support Truckers
About 15 vehicles were out the Prairie Oasis Gas Bar at 4:15 pm awaiting the arrival of the Convoy To Ottawa 2022.
The event is truckers who are headed to Ottawa as what is being described as a “Freedom Rally.”
The rally features truckers driving in protest to Ottawa about the federal government's proof of vaccination policy for truckers to cross the US - Canada border.
Many of the vehicles flew Canadian flags and protest signs calling for Freedom.
Supporters came from as far south as Assiniboia to show their support.
Numerous trucks not involved with the convoy blew their horns at those gathered as a sign of support.
The convoy has been delayed due to bad roads and is expected to reach Moose Jaw at 6:30 pm.
According to supporters the convoy contains thousands of trucks and is at least 50 kilometers in length.
UPDATE - The 15 vehicles grew into about 500 once the convoy arrived
