Moose Jaw Now Has Ten Declared Active Outbreaks With Vanier Collegiate
The rising number of actively declared outbreaks in Moose Jaw has just hit 10 with the Saskatchewan Health Authority issuing a letter to parents declaring an outbreak at Vanier Collegiate.
The declared outbreaks rose to 10 with the addition of Vanier Collegiate. The addition of Vanier Collegiate now has three Moose Jaw schools with declared outbreaks.
The outbreaks declared on the Province’s web-site or by letters to parents are:

The SHA defines an outbreak when two or more individuals contract the virus at a facility other than their home at the same time or have connected cases over time.
In a September 22nd letter (pictured below) to parents/guardians from the SHA advises about the outbreak.
The letter advises those who develop symptoms they must immediately isolate and seek testing immediately. Anyone requiring medical care is advised to call their health care provider first to make arrangements so as to prevent the further spread of the virus.
The SHA also advises those requiring further information to call the Health Line at 811.
Provincially on Wednesday there were 426 of COVID - 19 with 25 percent of the cases in children under 12. At the present time residents born in 2009 or older are eligible to be vaccinated.
