SHA Issues Second Increased Exposure Warning For August 6th Game
If you took the shuttlebus to the August 6th Rider’s home opener you might want to start thinking about self monitoring depending on what bus you took.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has issued a second increased COVID - 19 exposure warning for the August 6th game if you rode the shuttlebus to the stadium on the following bus:
August 6, 2021 – Shuttle bus from Birmingham's Vodka and Ale House Regina (2636 Star Lite St.) to Mosaic Stadium at 6:30 p.m. and from Mosaic Stadium back to Birmingham's at 11:30 p.m.; sat near front of the bus.
The SHA is not releasing the number of people who were on the shuttlebus and deemed infectious at the time. A previous warning to self monitor came as a result of a person or persons being infectious with COVID - 19 and sitting in the Pil Country section of that game.
The SHA says it has been difficult for contact tracers to alert people on the shuttle bus and has requested that all those attending future Rider games and using a shuttle bus to not the bus number, where they sat and the time to allow quicker contact tracing if needed in the future.
As per Disease Control Regulations, all individuals in attendance – particularly those who travelled by bus to and from Birmingham's Vodka and Ale House – during this date and time should:
· Self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 until August 20, 2021;
· If symptoms develop, start self-isolating immediately and seek testing; and
· If you already feel unwell or were in contact with an ill individual while at the game or afterward self-isolate and seek testing immediately.
Self-isolation means you need to stay home, avoid contact with anyone who is not fully vaccinated (individuals who are considered fully vaccinated have received two doses of vaccine and are at least two weeks past their second dose), and stay away from work, school, stores, social events and any other public setting.
