Village Of Caronport Issues Fire Ban

If you were hoping to go out and have a small backyard fire this evening in Caronport legally you will not be able to.

Effective today until conditions improve the village’s fire department has issued a fire ban for that community.

The fire ban includes the lighting of burning barrels, campfires, backyard fires, Tiki torches, fire pits and fireworks. 

Propane and natural gas barbecues may still be used but as always should be constantly monitored.
