Major Thruway Temporarily Closed

If you want to take 4th Ave NW between Thatcher Drive West and Laurier Street West you are going to have to take another route - MJ Independent photo

Emergency repairs are required for safety purposes which means closing 4th Avenue NW between Laurier St and the Lynbrook golf course entrance. 

CN Railways expects the repairs to take approximately two days, however, their representative stated it may be longer.  They will know more once they have evaluated the condition of the bridge.

Access to the Lynbrook Golf Course is to the north off of Thatcher Drive West.

No details on how the railway bridge was damaged other than it occurred sometime on Friday.
