SHA Changes Walk-In and Drive-Thru Clinics To Ages 51 - 54 Only

There may have not been any long line-ups for the first walk-in and drive-thru COVID - 19 vaccination clinics when they were open to people who were 55 + but there is hope that will change by opening the clinics from a younger age group.

Effective 1:00pm, April 15, 2021 the Saskatchewan Health Authority has changed eligibility for drive-thru and walk-in immunization clinics to ages 51-54 ONLY, with the exception of the Regina drive-thru, where eligibility remains 47-54.

Today there was a walk-in vaccination clinic in Moose Jaw initially scheduled for those 52 - 54 year olds ONLY at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds (250 Thatcher Street West) the change in policy now opens that clinic up to those 51 - 54. The last available update had the wait at the clinic at 0 minutes at 10 am. The clinic runs until 7:30 pm or the vaccine supply runs out.

If you are 51 years of age and disappointed at not being able to access today’s walk-in clinic you now can.

All drive-thru and walk-in clinics will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary, residents can attend at their convenience.

Additional details for drive-thru and walk-in clinics can be found at: www.saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax.
Wait-times for drive-thru and walk-in clinics can be found at: COVID-19 Vaccine Drive Thru Wait Times.

The SHA asks those attending drive-thru or walk-ins with previously booked appointments to cancel thereby ensuring the next eligible person can receive vaccine.
